There vine cultivation has been the main activity of our people for centuries. The wine culture It has been fundamental for the evolution of our territory from a social, economic and cultural point of view.
The best way to get to Vernazza is by train: 20 minutes by train from La Spezia (Station: La Spezia Centrale) or 10 minutes by train from Levanto. Trains to Vernazza leave at least every hour and every 20 minutes in high season.
To move between the villages and admire the beautiful coast we recommend taking the ferry. The ferries leave from La Spezia, Portovenere, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Monterosso or Levanto.
You don't need a car to get around the Cinque Terre. Parking is outside the historic center because Vernazza is a car-free village.
